當地時間上周六 ，胜利摩洛哥全隊飛抵幾內亞 ，大逃队紧並且進行了一次訓練 。亡摩摩洛哥隊下榻酒店，洛哥离距離幾內亞總統府隻有幾公裏遠 。客场但在周日淩晨 ，遇内亚政酒店外卻傳來槍聲 。变球一批武裝分子發動政變 ，他們綁架了總統作為人質 ，他們宣布廢除憲法並封鎖交通一周 。
摩洛哥隊一度被困在酒店中 ，但最終緊急撤離來到了科納克裏機場 。摩洛哥全隊搭乘專機 ，飛回了卡薩布蘭卡 。目前摩洛哥隊已經飛抵祖國 ，這場幾內亞政變對他們而言隻是虛驚一場 。
在摩洛哥隊中 ，有塞維利亞三名重要球員，他們分別是恩內斯裏 、博諾和穆尼爾 。摩洛哥目前最大牌的球員 ，是巴黎右後衛阿什拉夫。在社交網絡上，阿什拉夫在回到祖國後發文報平安 ：“感謝大家發來的消息，感謝大家的關心 。這是非常緊張的一天，感謝上帝 ，我們最終平安歸國了 。晚安啦 。”
