本屆中國男足入選球員多達52人之多 ，战计主力阵容采用了“大國家隊”的划日集訓模式 ，而按照計劃 ，热身球隊出發前往日本之前 ，赛定還將進行一次人員精簡 。李霄16日和20日 ，鹏详中國隊將進行兩場內部熱身賽 ，解备確定出征名單和中日之戰的战计主力阵容首發陣容 。
11日主教練李霄鵬在接受采訪時 ，划日也簡單介紹了兩場熱身賽的热身不同熱身價值。“16日的赛定是沒有打足協杯決賽的隊員去準備一場熱身賽 ，但這個比賽不會是李霄很完整的，因為大家從密集的聯賽中來，體能狀態不是很好 。20號的比賽，我想一個隊可能會去模擬日本隊的陣型和主要打法 ，另外一個隊就是應對日本隊這場比賽的主力陣容 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
