《馬卡報》表示，這是南非一場事關能否升級到南非第二級別聯賽的重要比賽，名為Matiyasi FC的联赛球隊需要18個淨勝球來讓他們升級 。然而這場比賽的惊人假球結果卻以驚人的59-1結束 ，其中包含了他們的比分對手Nsami Mighty Birds打入的41個烏龍球 。
《馬卡報》指出 ，看傻出現這樣的南非鬧劇，即便不用調查也能知道比賽是联赛被操控了的 ，這是惊人假球一場徹頭徹尾的假球 。而毫無意外的比分是，足球監管當局介入其中展開了調查 ，並得出了本場比賽是假球的結論 。最終 ，涉事的兩支球隊全部遭到了終身禁賽的處罰 。
然而諷刺的是 ，在另外一場事關升級的比賽中 ，也出現了打假球的情況 。名為Shivulani Dangerous Tigers的球隊，積分與Matiyasi FC相同，但淨勝球多於對方 ，因此排名靠前。而他們與Kototo Happy Boys的比賽，最終的比分也是相當嚇人 ，為33-1 ，對手雖然沒有打進41個烏龍球 ，但也有7個烏龍球送上，這兩支球隊也都遭到了終身禁賽的處罰……
