The now famous teen who cracked an egg on the head of an Australian politician certainly has some high profile fans.
Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons paid tribute to the 17-year-old kid known as "egg boy," by writing the teen's name on his yellow shoes before the game against the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday.

These tributes come as "egg boy" was interviewed by police and released without charge on Tuesday, as they continue their investigation into the incident.
The lawyer for "egg boy," Peter Gordon, told the media that the money donated to the teen through a crowdfunding page, now totalling more than $70,000, would be sent to victims of the Christchurch attack.
A mural has also been painted in homage of "egg boy," while musicians and concerts have offered him free tickets for life.
