北京時間10月16日晚 ，英超第8輪比賽，阵容曼聯客場2-4遭萊斯特城逆轉。选择賽後 ，错误曼聯主帥索爾斯克亞的决定排兵布陣再次被外界質疑 。索帥在接受媒體的索帅首采訪時，也談到了本場比賽的阵容失利和自己對陣容的選擇 。
索帥表示：“當你看完整場比賽後，选择會發現我們丟的错误四個球都非常糟糕 ，我們不配延續客場不敗的决定紀錄，我們的索帅首表現不夠好 。”
此役 ，阵容曼聯中衛馬奎爾火速複出首發登場 ，选择但表現卻不如人意 。错误談及讓馬奎爾出場比賽的决定選擇時 ，索爾斯克亞說道 ：“馬奎爾沒有任何不適，本場比賽的首發名單是我選的，如果這套首發不成功，那我會承擔責任 ，我可能做了一些錯誤的決定 。”
“最近我們狀態不佳 ，失去了太多積分（近三輪1平2負） ，有些事情可能需要改變 。我有很多優秀的球員 ，每場比賽都是一場不同的比賽 ，我們隊裏充滿了頂級的球員 ，但現在我們還不夠好 。”
