基耶利尼現年37歲 ，利尼离开自2005-06賽季起效力於尤文圖斯 ，尤文跟隨球隊多年，是尤文昔日後防“BBC”的重要成員 ，至今已為斑馬軍團出戰559場比賽。另外 ，基耶利尼也曾是意大利國家隊的中流砥柱，去年夏天他和博努奇搭檔的“後防二老”幫助藍衣軍團成功奪得歐洲杯冠軍 。遺憾的是 ，新科歐洲杯冠軍未能闖入2022卡塔爾世界杯正賽。
