歐洲當地時間10月20日，官方英超紐卡斯爾俱樂部發表公告，主教正进作球隊主帥布魯斯已經和高層達成一致，练布鲁雙方和平分手。下课行新助理教練格雷姆-瓊斯將暫時成為代理教練。帅聘

布魯斯職業生涯在英國足壇中有過豐富的任工執教經曆，從2019年開始，官方布魯斯執教紐卡斯爾聯隊，主教正进作但帶隊成績不佳，练布鲁過去兩個賽季喜鵲分別排名第12位和第13位，下课行新總成績為97場比賽29勝25平43負。帅聘

本賽季布魯斯帶隊表現更加糟糕，任工球隊8輪聯賽隻取得3平5負的官方成績，未嚐勝績的主教正进作喜鵲目前僅僅位列倒數第二，如果再沒有起色，练布鲁喜鵲將瀕臨降級。紐卡斯爾聯隊剛剛得到了注資，喜鵲上下要重整旗鼓，新帥招聘工作已經啟動，俱樂部官方表示將會在適當的時候公布新帥人選。
