2000年，王濤轉會北京國安 ，為北京國安效力3個賽季 ，聯賽出場53次 。2002賽季結束之後 ，王濤正式宣布退役 。隨後相當長一段時間 ，王濤都占據著中超頂級聯賽曆史射手王的寶座 。
