Kia's first electric SUV without a gas-powered or hybrid counterpart made its global debut at the end of March, and now it's arrived in the U.S.
At the North America debut of the EV6 Tuesday evening, Korea-based Kia showed off its newest EV at Times Square in New York City.

Aside from a special First Edition, the EV6 comes in three variations: the standard EV6, and the GT and GT-Line. The most powerful battery promises more than 300 miles of range and the fast GT version goes from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds. All versions of the car can recharge up to 80 percent full in under 20 minutes.

There will only be 1,500 units of the First Edition cars available when reservations open. The exclusive variation comes complete with an AR heads-up display, parking assist, a sunroof, a complimentary two-year SiriusXM radio subscription, and a dual motor all-wheel drive setup. It will have a bigger 77.4 kWh battery and a 12-inch touch screen inside.
A yellow color option will only be available to First Edition owners. Other color options include glacier and steel gray matte. There'll also be markings designating the car as one of the first 1,500 EV6s ever made.
