皇馬與瓦倫西亞的伦官比賽開戰後 ，兩隊互有攻守 ，推抢戰艦擁有一定的劫皮優勢 ，但是克转直到比賽第41分鍾還沒有打入進球 。比賽第42分鍾 ，发小罚卡塞米羅在禁區弧頂處拿球 ，但是在扣球過人時撞在了瓦倫西亞球員阿爾德雷德的身上後倒地 。
在卡塞米羅倒地後 ，主裁示意這是一個點球 ，而最終本澤馬主罰命中 ，為皇馬打開了勝利之門 。對於這次判罰 ，瓦倫西亞球員非常不滿 。賽後 ，瓦倫西亞球員加西亞在接受采訪時也談到了這個點球判罰 ：“所有人都看到了 ，那個球非常明顯是卡塞米羅打到了阿爾德雷德 ，但我們不會把輸球的責任怪在裁判身上 。”
