Cross bananas off the list of things we can still enjoy.
Canadian weatherman Nathan Coleman showed off a scorpion inside a bag of Delmonico bananas that his wife purchased from a Costco store in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
"We noticed something moving in the bananas, and it appears to be a scorpion," Coleman said in a video featured on The Weather Network. "So, this could be dangerous. There's a scorpion in the bag of bananas. I'm going to give them a call to let them know there's a scorpion in the bananas."

"She was holding it up and I said 'don't worry it's just a slug,'" Coleman told the network. "My mother was in the living room too and it was still squirming around in the bag and she said it might be a scorpion. I got up and looked at it and couldn't believe it was a scorpion."
It was a scorpion all right.
The weather reporter called the store, asking that the bananas be removed from the shelves. According to Coleman, the fruit was imported from Guatemala.
A spokesperson for Costco told Mashable, "we are aware of the incident and are currently investigating."
Coleman then took the scorpion to the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History where it was euthanized for "safety concerns."

Rest in peace, sweet prince.
Scorpions are found all over the world, including one species in Canada. There are approximately 1,500 species found worldwide, and most are relatively harmless to humans. However, about 25 species do possess venom powerful enough to kill a human being.
Fruit comes from nature, so like, make sure the nature isn't on your fruit before you eat it.
