北京時間2月2日 ，據英國媒體《鏡報》報道 ，强奸大曼徹斯特警方對外宣布 ，和袭此前因涉嫌強奸和死亡威脅他人而被捕的击妇进步20歲男性現已被保釋，等待進一步調查 。格林據多家媒體報道，伍德這名20歲男性指的已被是格林伍德 。
此前格林伍德的保释女友Harriet Robson在網上曝光了視頻和圖片 ，向大家展示格林伍德的等待调查毆打對她造成的身體傷害 。圖片和視頻可見 ，涉嫌她的强奸嘴角破損流血 ，全身多處淤青 。和袭其後她又在再曝光了一段兩人爭吵的击妇进步音頻 ，內容大體上是格林格林伍德因為想要和女友發生關係遭拒 ，情緒失控下毆打了女方 。伍德隨後 ，格林伍德因涉嫌強奸 、性侵犯和威脅殺人而被捕 ，現在他暫時獲得了保釋 ，將接受進一步的調查 。
大曼徹斯特警方在聲明當中表示 ：“一名於2022年1月30日星期日因涉嫌強奸和襲擊一名婦女而被捕的20歲男子 ，目前已被保釋 ，將等待進一步調查 。”
