國際足聯1月11日公布了一張超大罰單 ，老挝對卷入假球風波的人打辱45名老撾足球運動員，實施全球範圍內的假球終身禁賽 。這是全球终FIFA有史以來對卷入打假球的運動員一次性全球禁賽人數最多的一次 。
這45名老撾運動員是身禁赛足在國內聯賽或地區性賽事中，被查實有打假球的协耻行為 ，不過官方並未公布他們的老挝姓名以及具體涉及的情況 。在接到FIFA禁賽令後 ，人打辱老撾足協秘書長康亞·卡奧曼稱 ：“多達45名男子足球運動員卷入打假球事件，假球從而受到國際足聯的全球终終身禁賽處罰 ，這對老撾足球而言是身禁赛足恥辱性事件 ！不管這些球員有無天賦 ，协耻總之絕不會再允許他們出現在老撾足壇 ！老挝”
在不久前的人打辱東南亞錦標賽上 ，老撾隊再一次小組墊底，假球足協已經宣布換帥 ，聘請德國人威斯出任新帥 ，並全麵重組老撾各級國字號隊伍。
