In a Georgia neighborhood outside of Atlanta, car owners have resorted to covering their side mirrors with plastic bags in an attempt to avoid the flagrant acts of vandalism plaguing their community. The perpetrator: an asshole woodpecker who's out for blood.
According to this (admittedly delightful) local news segment from Atlanta's WSB-TV, dozens of people in the city of Snellville have been dismayed to find their car side mirrors smashed.
SEE ALSO:This poop pad will clean up your dog's mess for youThough some initially assumed it was the work of rowdy, BB-gun-toting kids, a local spotted the actual perp – a pileated woodpecker – attempting to attack his own reflection in a side mirror.
As WSB-TV notes, the pileated woodpecker is a protected species and so the neighborhood's options are limited beyond covering their mirrors and hoping for the best.
So far, the criminal bird of Snellville is faring better than the criminal birds that came before it.
