When trying to open Google Calendar, many users were being redirected to a page that said it was having a server error, although the cause is still unknown.
The issues were spilling over to Hangouts, where some users were having issues joining conference calls through Calendar invites.
It's unclear how widespread this outage was, but from the complaints on Twitter, it was affecting users worldwide.

To stay on top of the status of Google's different services, you can check out its App Status Dashboard, although it can be a little delayed. The dashboard currently shows Calendar as orange, which means "Service disruption," and not the full-on red "Service outage."
Google has had some major service disruptions before, like when its third-party login service went down in April, which lasted for about two hours.
