滕哈格表示 ：“我認為我可以和C羅等球星共事 。滕哈我會堅持我的格能共事風格 ，告訴球員們我的和C会有话语標準 ，達不到標準的球星权球員會受到批評 ，不管他是对球队转誰 。我一直希望球隊能踢出美麗足球 。滕哈我們不能缺少了贏家心態 。格能共事”
滕哈格說道 ：“我在接受這份工作之前提到了我的和C会有话语要求 ，如果俱樂部不同意 ，球星权我就不會接受這份工作 。对球队转我是最終的負責人 ，是根據結果來評判的那個人 ，我不想成為統治者 ，我會一起工作 ，但對轉會有發言權是我接受曼聯帥位的一個條件 。”
在談及現在是否有贏得獎杯的壓力時 ，滕哈格表示 ：“我明白在曼聯 ，贏得獎杯的壓力會更大 。我們隻需要贏下比賽 。畢竟這是人們評判我們的唯一標準 。” 此前 ，曼聯宣布從下賽季起，滕哈格將擔任一線隊主教練 ，簽約至2025年6月 。
