北京時間8月28日 ，官方英格蘭一支名為吉爾福德鳳凰的切尔球队冰球隊在官網宣布 ，前切爾西門將切赫與球隊簽訂了一份合同 ，西名切赫會以冰球隊門將的宿切生涯身份隨隊出戰2021-2022賽季的比賽 。
切赫曾在切爾西效力11年，赫加隨後又在阿森納踢了4年 ，盟冰累計出場超過500次，第次期間共拿到4次英超冠軍 ，出征並完成了202次的官方英超零封 。2012年 ，切尔球队切赫拿到了歐冠冠軍 。西名退役後的宿切生涯切赫沒有閑著 ，也沒有離開足球，赫加回到了切爾西隊擔任管理人員。盟冰
吉爾福德鳳凰隊是第次EIHL（英國精英冰球聯盟）的職業球隊。而就在北京時間8月28日，這支冰球隊卻宣布了切赫會在新賽季為球隊踢球的消息 ：“我們很高興地宣布在2021-2022賽季與門將切赫簽約 。”
切赫曾多次表示自己從小就喜歡打冰球 ，但由於冰球的裝備實在太昂貴 ，父親就送他去踢足球了 。職業生涯中 ，切赫在足球世界取得了出色的成就，但他從未放下對冰球的熱愛 。需要指出的是 ，這也不是切赫第一次為吉爾福德鳳凰隊踢球 。在2019年的10月份 ，切赫就曾短暫效力該隊 ，並在首秀中撲出兩粒點球 。
