在炒掉索爾斯克亞之後，曼聯接下來的斯否斯特任務就是盡快確定新任主帥的人選。在曼聯的承诺城潛在目標中，萊斯特城主帥羅傑斯是罗杰联传留莱其中之一。不過近日，斯否斯特羅傑斯正麵否認了與曼聯間的承诺城傳聞。

羅傑斯在接受采訪時表示，罗杰联传留莱自己對於在皇權球場的斯否斯特生活非常滿意，並直截了當地否認了與曼聯帥位的承诺城緋聞，“我不把它當作一回事，罗杰联传留莱它不是斯否斯特真的。直到曼聯找到一名全職主帥之前，承诺城流言蜚語總會是罗杰联传留莱有的。”

緊接著，斯否斯特羅傑斯向萊斯特城表達了忠心，承诺城“我的承諾是留在這裏（萊斯特城），這裏的球隊文化是如何幫助球員提高，這也是我所關注的。而在這個階段，甚至是我更加關注的。”
