據悉 ，将提机國足將於沙特當地時間13日20點啟程 ，前退乘坐包機飛赴上海 ，出竞預計包機將於北京時間14日下午抵達上海浦東國際機場 。胜形势还跟世預賽40強賽小組賽結束後從阿聯酋回國一樣 ，有转隨後國足將按防疫規定 ，国足被集體轉至蘇州太湖太美香穀裏酒店 ，下轮接受隔離醫學觀察 ，若负同時備戰11月的将提机12強賽。根據賽程安排 ，前退國足將於11月11日對陣阿曼隊 ，出竞11月16日再戰澳大利亞隊 。胜形势还這兩場比賽有望在蘇州進行 。
4輪12強賽過後 ，國足4戰1勝3負積3分排名小組第5 。本輪戰勝國足的沙特隊4戰全勝 ，以12分高居榜首 ，澳大利亞隊9分緊隨其後 。阿曼和日本本輪都贏得了比賽的勝利 ，積分都增加到6分 ，分列第3和第4名 。4戰皆敗的越南小組墊底。
從目前的積分情況看 ，下輪國足與阿曼之戰，很可能是一場相當於6分價值的比賽 。如果國足能夠戰勝阿曼 ，那麽出線形勢還有轉機 。一旦落敗 ，意味著國足與小組前3名的積分差距將拉大到6分，追趕將變得非常困難 。
