從年齡結構來看 ，25到34歲的中國球迷最支持世界杯縮短周期 ，這個比率達到了65% 。而支持率最低的是45歲到54歲的球迷 ，這個年齡段隻有44%的球迷希望世界杯縮短周期 。
與中國球迷形成鮮明對比的是日本球迷 ，在參與調查的541位日本球迷 ，支持世界杯縮短周期的日本球迷隻有33% ，遠低於中國球迷。
