Those familiar with 。 Outlander。know that Menzies can really ride the line between a perfect British gentleman, and an abhorrently vindictive human being -- which is 。 perfect。for Philip's characterization in this fictionalization of the royal family.。

According to the Deadline exclusive, Menzies is also not new to playing a British aristocrat who stands alongside a legendary monarch. He was recently the Duke of Cornwall in the BBC Films adaptation of。 King Lear 。King Lear
