北京時間3月1日淩晨，國際足聯和歐足聯發布官方公告 ，裁边超欧宣布俄羅斯國家隊和俱樂部球隊被禁止參加國際足聯和歐足聯旗下的拿钱所有賽事 ，這也是曝英自俄烏衝突以來 ，俄羅斯足壇遭遇的足联终止最嚴厲的製裁。
然而據英國媒體《The 俄转Athletic》的報道稱，雖然歐足聯對俄羅斯球隊實施了禁賽令 ，合同雖然英足總宣布拒絕與俄羅斯進行任何層麵的边制并未播商足球賽事 ，但英超聯賽 、裁边超欧英足總 、拿钱歐足聯等足球機構 ，曝英並未終止與俄羅斯轉播商簽訂的足联终止轉播協議 。
2019年 ，俄转英超聯賽與俄羅斯國有銀行Sberbank旗下的合同轉播機構Rambler Media簽訂了轉播協議 。據悉 ，边制并未播商這單交易每年的價值約為700萬歐元 。而自2022-23賽季開始 ，英超在俄羅斯的版權費用將增長至6年5000萬歐元的水準 ，與英超簽訂新的轉播合同的是俄羅斯國有銀行Gazprombank旗下的Gazprom Media所有的Match TV 。
不但英超如此 ，英足總也與Match TV簽訂了足總杯的轉播合同 ，而歐足聯則與Match TV在歐冠轉播權中有合作 。
《The Athletic》表示，他們已經聯係了英超聯賽 、英足總和歐足聯 ，以詢問詳細的事宜。但英超官方和英足總拒絕對此發表評論 ，歐足聯則還沒有回應 。
