挪威一直是女足世界強隊 ，該國球員赫格貝裏曾經贏得了第一屆女足金球獎 。豪门布蘭隊是争议足球挪威國內最負盛名的豪門球隊之一 ，曾多次獲得挪威杯賽的标语冠軍 ，但在該隊一名球員接受采訪時 ，挪威女足女性體育場內懸掛的豪门T恤卻引發了巨大爭議 。
在這件黃色T恤上 ，争议足球用挪威語印了這樣一句話 ：“女足既不是标语足球 ，也不是挪威女足女性女性 。”此事被媒體曝光之後 ，豪门布蘭俱樂部立刻成為了眾矢之的争议足球 。這句話 ，标语顯然是挪威女足女性對女足 、對女性的豪门貶低甚至侮辱 。
在遭到炮轟之後，争议足球布蘭執行總監約翰內森立刻公開道歉 ：“這簡直丟臉到家了 ，在我看到這一幕時 ，我這輩子臉都沒紅成那樣 。我當時想 ，這怎麽可能發生 ？無論如何 ，我都立刻去拿下了那件T恤。”
盡管布蘭進行了道歉，但挪威女足名將萊蘭德仍然抨擊了這種所謂的“幽默感” ：“這絲毫不幽默，也許他們隻想開個無關痛癢的玩笑 ，但這完全不幽默 。哪怕他們是為了搞搞笑 ，但作為挪威最大的俱樂部之一 ，他們也不能在牆上掛這種東西 。我們還有很長的路要走 。”
